Montréal, October 2026 — Innovobot is proud to announce that Pedro Gregorio, our Operating Partner and Head of its Robotics Lab, has joined the Board of Directors of Garage&C, an incubator dedicated to hardtech entrepreneurs.
Garage&co helps hardtech founders build their companies; Innovobot Labs helps companies build their products. Pedro’s appointment brings that hands-on product-development experience to Garage&co.
A shared mission for hardtech

Garage&co‘s founders walk that same road every day. Hardtech startups face longer development cycles, heavier capital needs and tougher manufacturing questions than software companies. They need advisors who have built physical products and taken them to market.
What Pedro brings to the board
Pedro brings more than 25 years of engineering and robotics experience to the role. His career spans space robotics with the Canadian Space Agency and MDA Space, advanced haptics, manufacturing automation and surgical technology.
He is also a prolific inventor, named on more than 100 patents. Just as important, he has repeatedly taken products from the lab to commercial markets. That mix of deep engineering and commercialization experience is rare, and it is exactly what early-stage hardtech founders need.
Pedro is also an experienced mentor, including through his work with the McGill Innovation Fund, and knows first-hand the questions technical founders face in their early days.
A natural strategic fit
The sectors where Garage&co‘s startups build overlap closely with Innovobot’s own target markets: medical devices, aerospace and defense, advanced manufacturing and green technologies.
Through that overlap, Garage&co‘s founders gain a board member who understands their customers technical and commercial challenges first-hand.
A connection that started at an event
Pedro’s path to the board began the way many good things in an ecosystem do: in person. He is the third member of Garage&co‘s board to join after first connecting with the team through their events. As Garage&co puts it, you never know where your next involvement will be.
