Innovobot appoints Robert A. Lacroix as Senior Partner and Chief Engineering Officer 

Robert brings a rare combination of innovation and industrial discipline. Over his career, he has led global engineering organizations of 50+ across North America and Asia, commercialized complex AI and hardware-software systems, and delivered technologies embedded in more than one billion devices worldwide. 

Most recently, Robert served as VP Engineering, AI at Hinge Health, following the acquisition of wrnch, where he had led R&D. He played a key role in integrating AI and engineering operations within a 1,500+ person organization, aligning advanced R&D execution with enterprise-scale processes and performance expectations. At wrnch, he transformed the product development model, launched the world’s first real-time mobile 3D human pose estimation platform ahead of major global competitors, and helped position the company for acquisition.  

Earlier, at Immersion Corporation, Robert led the engineering organization behind haptic technologies that became foundational to modern touchscreen interfaces across Android and iOS ecosystems. He has worked directly with leading global OEMs, supporting large-scale deployments and complex commercial integrations across North America and Asia. Robert’s work powered solutions shipped in over one billion devices and expanded adoption across mobile, automotive, and industrial markets. He holds more than 50 patents spanning haptics, AI, computer vision, and embedded systems. 

Robert combines deep technical expertise with a track record of building engineering organizations that scale with discipline. Throughout his career, he has transformed R&D into commercially deployed platforms trusted by global customers. As Innovobot Labs expands its portfolio and geographic footprint, his experience will be instrumental in reinforcing a unified engineering culture grounded in accountability, performance and delivery. 

As Senior Partner and Chief Engineering Officer, Robert will oversee end-to-end engineering operations across Innovobot Labs. He will implement scalable development systems and governance frameworks, harmonize engineering practices across multiple Labs, and drive performance against delivery, quality, and cost objectives while building high-performing teams across geographies. Working closely with clients and cross-functional leaders, he will ensure multidisciplinary programs are executed with precision, consistency, and the highest technical standards.
